VPI RSD 1961 King Of The Whole Wide World 3 CD Set

Description

Elvis – 1961: The King of the Whole Wide World… (3CD)

A direct follow-up to Elvis 1960: Everybody’s Got The Fever, this essential 3CD set explores a pivotal year in Elvis Presley’s career. Recorded exclusively during 1961, these sessions capture Elvis at a creative peak — confident, focused, and fully in command of his musical direction.

Featuring studio masters, alternate takes, and rare live recordings from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the set highlights iconic performances such as Can’t Help Falling in Love, Little Sister, His Latest Flame, Wild in the Country, and Rock-A-Hula Baby. The studio material showcases Elvis working freely and spontaneously, while the live recordings reveal his growing authority as a performer in front of an audience.

Newly remastered for high-quality listening, this collector-focused release offers an in-depth portrait of Elvis during one of the most important creative transitions of his career.
